Collage Benefit Concert 2017
We invite you to come to our Collage Benefit Concert on Thursday, March 23. The concert will begin at 6:30pm. Admission is $5 per person and will be collected at the door. The maximum cost per family will be $20. We can accept only cash and checks made payable to West Ottawa Music Boosters.
For the Collage Concerts, each performing group will perform just one piece. The performers will be scattered around the auditorium. Immediately after the first piece is completed, the lights on that group will be turned off, and the lights on the next group (in a another location in the auditorium) will be turned on. The second group will then immediately begin to perform. This will continue in the same manner until the intermission. (There are 8 pieces performed consecutively before the first intermission.)
Due to the unique nature of our Collage Concerts, we need your help with a few details:
1) Please do not applaud right after a group's performance. If you do, you will be covering up the sound of the next piece being performed, and the parents of those students will not be able to hear their kids performing. Please hold all applause until the house lights all come on at the intermission or the end of each concert.
2) Do not get out of your seat to move around during any performance. We have numerous students that we need to move to and from various locations (including the audience area) throughout each performance. For this safety reason, do not move about until an intermission or the completion of the concert. There will be ample time for restroom trips at each intermission and between the concerts.
3) Also, for the above safety reason, please arrive at the performance on time. To keep our students from getting injured getting to and from their performance locations in the dark, no audience traffic will be allowed into the auditorium except for at each intermission and between concerts. Please understand that our ushers are there to help provide a safe performance environment for all our students.
We have a great program to share with you for Collage 2017. This is always a popular and well-attended concert. We hope to see you there!
